Oily skin can make your entire face look sweaty and overall not appealing. While you might hate that you have this problem, you don’t have to live with it.
There are a lot of ways you can actually prevent your skin from getting oily so you feel confident in the way you look!
The best part is that it doesn’t take a lot of work; you just have to put in a little bit of time to care for your skin.
1. Practice Good Skin Care
If you don’t take care of your skin you will find that it stays oily all the time. You should be washing your face with a gentle cleanser that is meant for oily skin. There are a lot of products available to choose from and most are affordable. Use the cleanser in the morning and at night to see the best results possible. These can help decrease the oil that comes out of your pores.
2. Eat Healthy
If you eat a lot of oily or fatty foods throughout the day you will find that oil will be even worse on your face. By eating more vegetables instead of process or fatty foods, the oil on your face should subside. An added bonus is that this can also help you lose weight, which is something anyone can appreciate!
3. Use the Right Makeup
If you’re using makeup that has oil it in, you’re only asking for your skin to get oily throughout the day. Use a makeup that doesn’t have oil and that is designed for oily skin. There are tons of options out there and there are even some mineral makeups that are good for your skin. These can cover up any blemishes, get rid of excess oil and make your skin look better than ever.
4. Drink More Water
Water gets toxins out of your body and out of your skin. By drinking an adequate amount of water every day you will see a huge change in your skin. It will be a lot less oily than normal if you keep your body and your skin hydrated. This can also result in your skin looking glowing and healthy without even trying!
5. Use Face Masks
Face masks, especially those made with clay, are great for individuals who have oil prone skin. All you have to do is apply one of these a few times a week and that is it! You can even make your own with all the different recipes that are available online.
- Only use products that are made for oily skin. If you don’t use these you will end up with more oil than before because most products are made with some type of oil.
- Do research on different products and read through reviews, especially when purchasing an expensive product. This will ensure you don’t waste your money and that you get something that truly works for you.
- Bring blotting papers with you for times when your face gets oily. These are easy to carry in any bag and don’t cost that much money.
